FreeFromCOVID is a joint project among several sponsors.  We are concerned about privacy issues, and want you to be familiar with how FreeFromCOVID collects, uses and discloses information.

This Privacy Notice discloses the privacy practices for the FreeFromCOVID website (“Website”), the FreeFromCOVID social media accounts (“Social Media”), and the FreeFromCOVID application (“Application”).

The Website, Social Media, and Application are referred to in this Privacy Notice as the “Web Presence”.

This Privacy Policy applies only to our online information-gathering and dissemination practices in connection with our Web Presence, and does not apply to any other practices or services of any of FreeFromCOVID’s sponsors.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

FreeFromCOVID collects information about you when you provide the information to us by telephone, email, or regular mail.

FreeFromCOVID also collects information about you based on your viewing and interaction with our Website and Social Media.  If you consent, we may do do this through the use of cookies.  For more information about cookies, please click here:  About Cookies

We use your information to respond to and interact with you regarding the reason you contacted us.

We also use your information for our business purposes, such as data analysis, audits, fraud monitoring and prevention, enhancing, improving or modifying our Website and Social Media, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns, and operating and expanding our business activities.

FreeFromCOVID (nor any of its sponsors) does not and will not sell or rent any information it obtains from any aspect of its Website and Social Media to anyone.

FreeFromCOVID (nor any of its sponsors) does not and will not share your information with any third party, other than as necessary to fulfill a request made by you.

In addition, we may use your information as we believe to be necessary or appropriate: (a) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to respond to requests from public and government authorities including public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (d) to enforce our terms and conditions; (e) to protect our operations or those of any of our affiliates; (f) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you or others; and (g) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.

We will not use your information for any other purpose.

Separately, the FreeFromCOVID Application provides authentication and verification solutions for contact tracing applications, governments, and businesses (“Subscribers”).

We keep the information and other data regarding Subscribers private and secure.  FreeFromCOVID does not process any information regarding its Subscribers.  FreeFromCOVID does not and shall not review or examine any of the information or data regarding a Subscriber without express permission from the Subscriber.

In addition, as part of the FreeFromCOVID process, a user of a contact tracing application (“CTA User”) may open a web page provided by the  Application.  The Application does not involve any other interaction with any CTA User.   

FreeFromCOVID does not collect, process, or store any information regarding the interactions of CTA Users with the Application. There is no way for FreeFromCOVID to identify any CTA User or any CTA User’s interaction with the Application.

FreeFromCOVID does not and shall not transfer, sell, share, or otherwise reveal any information or data with or to any person or entity, for any purpose whatsoever, except as necessary to perform the services for its Subscribers, and except to comply with any applicable law(s), court order(s), or subpoena(s).


Your Access to and Control Over Information

You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number provided above:

» See what data we have about you, if any.

» Change or correct any data we have about you.

» Have us delete any data we have about you.

» Express any concern you have about our use of your data.



We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit information to us, your information is protected both online and offline.

Information that we receive from you is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

We also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. All of our employees are required to sign strict non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements. The computers and servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
